Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. Wright was the medical director of pediatric neurosurgery at a hospital in Madera, California. He believes in working closely with patients, families, nurses and other specialists to understand and treat neurosurgical conditions. Dr. Wright takes very seriously the trust parents place in him.
Dr. Wright’s Training
He earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at the University of California at Los Angeles, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Wright received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham.
About Dr. Wright
Dr. Wright is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. He also is a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
His work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
Outside of work, Dr. Wright enjoys photography, skiing, riding his mountain bike and motorcycle, and playing with his chocolate Labrador retriever.
