The Dayton Art Institute mourns the loss of Todd Crawford, a cherished volunteer and a devoted friend of the museum. Serving as a valuable member of the DAI Associate Board since 2016, Todd’s contributions were marked by his role as the Art Ball Chair in 2019 and Oktoberfest Co-Chair in 2023. Throughout his nearly eight years of dedicated service to the Associate Board, Todd’s unwavering commitment and fundraising efforts remain immeasurable.

Todd was the first to arrive and often the last to leave, becoming a familiar face at every one of our signature events. In 2019, Todd played a pivotal role in selecting the theme “Icon” for Art Ball, underlining the entire building as the source of artistic inspiration for the event. It is only fitting that we also describe Todd Crawford as an icon of Dayton, for he truly embodied the spirit of our community.
