Doechii, formerly known as Iamdoechii and born Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon on August 14, 1998, is an American rapper.
She gained notoriety after releasing her debut EP, Oh the Places You’ll Go (2020), thanks to the “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” song’s popularity on TikTok in 2021. She joined Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records in 2022, and via them, she released She/Her/Black Bitch, her sophomore EP.
She has been nominated for two Soul Train Music Awards and one MTV Video Music Award. She received the Billboard Women in Music Emerging Star Award in 2023.

Having grown up in Tampa, Florida, Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon was born on August 14, 1998.
Her early activities included ballet, tap dance, acting, cheerleading, and gymnastics, and she attended Howard W. Blake High School in Tampa. In 2016, she posted her debut song, “Girls,” on SoundCloud under the name Iamdoechii. She originally began writing music in 2015. Coven Music Session, Vol. 1, her latest endeavour, was published in the year 2019.
