When did Jay Leno start hosting?
The Jay Leno Show debuted on September 14, 2009, while Conan O’Brian took over The Tonight Show, however, both hosts were unable to deliver the audience the network was expecting, and Leno returned as host of The Tonight Show following the 2010 Winter Olympics on March 1, 2010. He also owns the home right next door.
Leno grew up in a suburb of Andover, Massachusetts, and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in speech therapy from Emerson College , where he started a comedy club in 1973 and got his start in stand-up. His first appearance on the Tonight Show came in 1977, where he performed a comedy routine.
