Who Was Yeon-Su Kim? Arizona University Professor Found Dead

Yeon-Su Kim, a professor at Northern Arizona University, and her husband, who went missing while kayaking in Mexico’s Sonora state, have now been found dead.

Kim’s body was discovered in the Gulf of California on Sunday by a local fishing boat near Puerto Peasco, according to a verified GoFundMe page created to raise money to support the hunt for Kim and her husband, Corey Allen.

In a Sunday post to the GoFundMe website, it was said that “Today was a terribly sad day.” “Earlier this afternoon, Yeon-body Su’s was discovered by a local fishing boat south and east of Puerto Peasco. This is in spite of the three days’ worth of tremendous search efforts by volunteers for Corey and Yeon-Su.

Late Saturday, after failing to show up, Kim and Allen were reported missing.
